Funeral services for Pearl Coleman, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Leonard Chatham, pastor of Full Armor Ministries North, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Coleman died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at her residence. She was born May 26, 1930, in Zwolle, La., to Charlie and Irene Scott. She was married to Willie A. Coleman. He died Jan. 31, 1995. She lived in Plainview for 59 years, moving from San Augustine. She was a member of United Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles and Vanessa Scott of Hawthorne, Calif., and Bobby Coleman of Lubbock; three daughters and one son-in-law, Claudine Russell of Fort Worth and Ethel Nickerson and Janiece and Drew Smallwood, all of Lubbock; three brothers, Edward Charles Scott, Robert Scott and Thamos Scott; seven sisters and one brother-in-law, Lurlean and Ardis Williams, Maxine Trotty, Lois Marsh, Julie Green, Mae Williams, June Scott and Wonder Scott; and two grandchildren.
