Obituary

Funeral services for John Coleman, 27, of Lubbock will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Family Life Chapel in Plainview with the Rev. Don Seigler, retired Baptist minister of San Angelo, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Coleman died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002.

He was born Sept. 4, 1975, in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1994 and attended Sul Ross State University and Texas Tech University. He worked for the City of Plainview before moving to Arizona where he worked for Palm Valley Golf Resort. He moved back to Lubbock in 2000 and was greens supervisor at Lubbock Country Club. He was in the Army Reserves for several years.

Survivors include his parents, Sam and Brenda Coleman of Plainview; a sister, Tammy Coleman Smith of Sudan; a brother, Jim Coleman of Phoenix, Ariz.; his grandparents, Albert and Sue Stewart of Midland and S.E. Coleman Jr., of Plainview; his fiancee, Sheree Graham of Lubbock; and two nieces, Tawnee Garcia and Kylee Coleman, both of Sudan.
