Cofer, Paul Lawrence

Funeral services for Paul Lawrence Cofer, 57, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Emmanuel Church of God in Christ with Russell Wise, pastor, and the Rev. Elijah Demerson of Amarillo officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

Mr. Cofer died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in Tucker Nursing Center in Atlanta, Ga.

He was born March 28, 1945, in Temple, son of the late Nora and Bennie Cofer. He grew up in Plainview and worked as foreman for Excel in Plainview and IBP in Amarillo. /he had lived in Atlanta for the past year.

He was a member of Emmanuel Church of God in Christ.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence Cofer of Columbus, Ga.; two daughters, Althea Cofer of Atlanta and Ravan Cofer of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Nora ?Bonnie? Cofer of Seattle, Wash.; and eight sisters, Barbara Malone, Gloria Guy, Zora Dunn and Martha Carr, all of Plainview, Patricia Cofer of Los Angeles, Calif., Eartha Demerson and Phyllis Cofer, both of Amarillo, and Robin Medlock of Fort Worth.

A brother, Richard Cofer, died in 1968.
