Obituary

Funeral services for Ira Clower, Jr., 65, of Seminole will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2003 in the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Derrel Evins officiating and Brother James T. Smith, of the Agape Church in Seminole, assisting. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Cotton Center Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home.

He died July 29, 2003. Mr. Clower was born Oct. 14, 1937 in Gilpin, Texas. He married Lahoma Rowell on March 7, 1958 in Spur, Texas. They purchased Clowers Quick & Clean several years ago. Ira was the immediate past president of the Seminole Lions Club and was also a board member of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce where he was currently serving as the Chiefs president. He is survived by his wife, Lahoma of Seminole; a son, Keith Clower of Plainview; four daughters, Iroma Applewhite of Hale Center, Ramona Clower of Jonesboro, Ark., Denice Kirby of Cotton Center, and Kimberly Winters of Spangdahlem, Germany; a sister, Louise Smith of Claude, and three grandchildren.
