Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Raymond (Bonnie) Claycomb, 91, formerly of Plainview, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Wood-Dunning Funeral Home Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home Mrs. Claycomb died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2002, in Homestead Nursing Home in Denton. She was born Aug. 15, 1910 in Meade County, KY where she grew up and went to school. She married Raymond Claycomb on May 1, 1931 in Louisville, KY, and they moved to Plainview in 1949. He died in November 1985. She worked for Coca-Cola Botttling Co. for about 30 years before retiring and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Radine and Edele Henderson of Denison, Shelby and Charles Norfleet of Cotton Center and Frances Claycomb of Dallas; two brothers, Niram Dugan of Port Charlotte, Florida and Rice Dugan of Brandenburg, KY; three sisters Pauline Bieber and Virginia Thatch, both of Louisville, KY, and Margaret Dotson of Bowling Green, KY; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A daughter, Elvene Claycomb, a grandchild, Johnny Norfleet and her parents, William and Melissa Dugan, are deceased. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home and suggest memorials to College Heights Baptist Church or a favorite charity.
