Obituary

Funeral services for Audria Faye Churchwell, 91, of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home Mrs. Churchwell died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, in Conroe. She was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Grayson County to Ginis and Kimmie Thornton. She married Marvin E. Churchwell on July 6, 1935, in Clovis, N.M. He died June 10, 2003. She was a member for more than 80 years of First Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and served on the Rainbow for Girls Board of Directors. Survivors include a son, Chuck Churchwell of Conroe; a daughter, Missy Alford Churchwell of Denver; a brother, Ed Thornton of Plainview; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
