Obituary

Funeral services for Elinor JoAnn Chiddix, 77, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church with Kyle Brock, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Chiddix died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Plainview to J. Condie Owen and Ann Reece Brooks. She married Glen Wilson Chiddix on July 12, 1959, in Plainview. She was a beautician for 32 years in Plainview. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Daughters of American Revolution, past worthy matron of Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi. Survivors include her husband; and one brother, Danny Owen of Plainview. Her parents and one brother, Jake Owen, are deceased.
