Funeral services for Glen Wilson Chiddix, 81, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church in Plainview with the Rev. Kyle Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Plain?view Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Chiddix died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011. He was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Plainview to Albert and Erma Bell Hamilton Chiddix. He was a graduate of Plainview High School and served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea, receiving a unit presidential citation. He was an independent insurance underwriter. He married Elinor JoAnn Owen Chiddix in July 1979 in Plainview. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Plainview. Survivors include three nieces and a nephew, Melissa and Trenton Campbell, Lori Ellis and Lisa Barr; and a cousin, Betty Adams, all of Plainview. His parents; his wife, Elinor Chiddix in September 2007; and three brothers, Alton, Preston and William Wayne Chiddix, are deceased.
