Obituary

Funeral services for Jesse R. Chapa, 60, were at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Pedro Gonzales, pastor, officiating, and the Rev. Tom Griffin assisting. Burial was in Petersburg Cemetery by Guajardo Funeral Chapels of Lubbock. A wake was held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Mr. Chapa died Friday, July 15, 2005, in Idalou. He was born Feb. 28, 1945 to Sabino and Maria Chapa in Slaton. He married Lupe Garcia on Dec. 18, 1978 in Plainview.
