Obituary

Private graveside services for Jacob Lee Chapa, 11, were at 4 p.m. Friday
in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Eric Earhart, pastor of
Family Harvest Church, officiating. Burial arrangements were by
Bartley-Silva Funeral Home. Jacob died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2002, at his
residence. He was born Nov. 30, 1990, in Lubbock. He was a fourth grade
honor student at Highland Elementary and loved sports, especially baseball
and football. Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Veronica Chapa of
Plainview; a sister, Abbie Chapa of Plainview; a brother, John Eric Rubio
of Plainview; his grandparents, Albert and Heladia Chapa and Minga
Rubio, all of Plainview; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
