Obituary
PETERSBURG - Funeral services for Margaret Castleberry, 82, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ted Wilson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Castleberry died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, in Lubbock. She was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Floydada. She graduated from Plainview High School and had worked as bookkeeper for the Co-op Grain Elevator. She was a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the First United Methodist Church and the JOY Sunday School Class. On May 10, 1940, she married Wayne Douglas Castleberry in Plainview. He died March 6, 1995. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Kaylene and Wayne Layton of Petersburg, Sherry and Norm Lacey of Gold Canyon, Ariz., Tommye and Jerry Perry of St. Joe and Lenna and Willis Collins of Grapevine; one brother, Mack Meador of Seattle, Wash.; three sisters, Wanda Harder of Plainview, Oleta McAvoy of Amarillo and Jackie Persefield of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A granddaughter is deceased.
