Obituary

Funeral services for Maria L. Castillo, 74, were at 1 p.m. today in Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Elisa Medina officiating. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home. Mrs. Castillo died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, in University Medical Center in Lubbock after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 19, 1927, in Karnes City. She moved to Plainview from Laredo in 1974 and worked on the trimline at Excel Corporation since 1977. She was a member of Maranatha Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two sons, Gerardo Castillo and Eduardo Godinez, both of Plainview; a daughter, Mayra Godinez of Plainview; and four grandchildren, Yesenia Godinez, Roby Godinez, Angela Banda and Alexis Banda.
