Obituary

Funeral services for Maria Castillo, 61, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lemons Memorial Chapel with John Vega officiating. Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Lemons Funeral Home. Ms. Castillo died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Legends of the Plains Nursing Home in Hale Center. She was born May 26, 1948, in Milwaukee to Luis and Pilar Castillo. She graduated from Floydada High School in 1966. Survivors include her mother; two sons, Carlos Quezada of Virginia and Ivan Quezada of Vacaville, Calif.; one daughter, Fidencia Quezada of Virginia; three brothers, Ray Castillo and Rene Lopez, both of Plainview, and Alvaro Castillo of Rome, Ga.; five sisters, Elsa Wyatt of Medford, Ore., Amanda Aguilar of Warsaw, Ind., Melba Rios of Plainview, Lucy James of Jacksonville, Texas, and Pilar Casias of Lubbock; and five grandchildren. Her father and one brother, Luis Castillo, are deceased.
