Obituary

Funeral Mass for Dario Castillo Sr., 50, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. John Ohlig, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today in the Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mr. Castillo died Wednesday, July 6, 2005, in Mangold Hospital in Lockney. He was born Dec. 19, 1954, in Carrizo Springs to Aurielo and Elena Hernandez and married Crestina Ramos on Nov. 22, 1980, in Plainview. He worked as a knife sharpener for Cargill Meat Solutions for 31 years. Mr. Castillo was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he served on the finance committee. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Maria Castillo of Plainview; three sons, Dario Castillo Jr., Andrew Castillo and Anthony Castillo, all of Plainview; his mother, Elena Castillo of Floydada; five sisters, Maria Luna of Seminole and Petra Gonzalez, Ilda Vasquez, Norma Hernandez and Alamar Ovalle, all of Floydada; three brothers, Aurielo Castillo Jr. of Floydada and Cruz Castillo and Pete Castillo of Plainview; and three grandchildren. His father and a grandson, Nathan Biera, are deceased.
