Castillo, Alejandro, Mrs. (Maria)

Funeral Mass for Maria Castillo, 82, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. John Ohlig, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Castillo died at 4:52 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003, in Covenant Hospital.

She was born April 16, 1921, in Taylor. She grew up in San Antonio and had lived in Plainview for several years.

She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Guadalupanas.

In 1953, she married Alejandro Castillo in San Antonio.

Survivors include her husband of San Antonio; three daughters, Nina Farias and Gloria Hernandez, both of Plainview, and Diana Castillo of San Antonio; a son, Bobby Vallin of Plainview; 30 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Juan Vallin and Jose Vallin, and four brothers and two sisters are deceased.
