Obituary

Funeral Mass for Marcelino Aguallo Casias, 67, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Theresa Catholic Church with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hale Center Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Casias died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, in Lubbock. A rosary service was held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and another will be held at 7 tonight at the church. Mr. Casias was born May 25, 1938, in Bigfoot to Marcelo Menchaka Casias and Camilla Aguallo Casias. He married Dominga Hernandez on Sept. 25, 1956, in Lubbock. He was a farmer for many years and a longtime member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Survivors include his son, Marcelino Casias Jr. of Hale Center; three daughters, Norma Garcia and Virginia Arriola of Grand Prairie and Barbara Salinas of Hale Center; three brothers, Alfonso Casias and Jose A. Casias of Hale Center and Lawrence Casias of Abernathy; three sisters, Frances Mojica of Olton, Janie Cruz of Lubbock and Mary Trevino of Hale Center; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. His wife of 49 years, Dominga Hernandez Casias; a brother, Martin Casias Sr.; and a sister, Benita Alcantar, are deceased.
