Obituary

Randy Case, 56, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, in Lubbock. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Lemons Memorial Chapel in Plainview with Chaplain Oscar Chavez officiating. Interment will follow the service in Plainview Memorial Park. Cremation service arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home. Randall Knox Case was born on July 16, 1957, in Plainview to Claudie Ray "Casey" and Billie Jo "Jodie" Case. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1975. Randy was an extremely dedicated and hard-working man. He was a rural mail carrier for more than 35 years, but farming was his passion. He spent many nights working late on his farm. Randy was generous, and compassionate with a heart for others. His children describe him as a great dad who loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Randy was a member of First Christian Church. Randy is survived by his father, Casey Case of Plainview; his daughter, Jennifer Case and Blake Vera of Lubbock; his son, Dylan Knox Case of Waco, Texas; his brother, Rick Case and wife Jeri of Garland, Texas; his sister, Debbie Buchanan and husband Jeff of Benecia, Calif.; his aunt, Christine Vinson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and Brenda Davis, the mother of his children. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jodie Case. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Plainview Humane Society, P.O. Box 1267, Plainview, TX 79073.
