Obituary
Billie Jo "Jodie" Case, 80, of Plainview, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 27, 2011, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the First Christian Church with Dr. Max Browning officiating and Oscar Chavez assisting. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today at Lemons Funeral Home. Jodie was born in Olton on Feb. 22, 1931, to M.C. and Bertha Collins. Shortly after, her family moved to Plainview where she lived her entire life. She married Claudie Ray Case on Oct. 21, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. Jodie was a homemaker who found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She loved to crochet and create beautiful crafts for her family and friends. Jodie also enjoyed gardening. She was a member of First Christian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her four brothers, her two sisters and her grandson, Cory Case. Jodie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Claudie Ray Case; her three children, Randy Case of Plainview, Debbie Buchanan and husband, Jeff, of Benicia, Calif., and Rick Case and wife, Jeri, of Garland; grandchildren, Aaron and his wife Molly, Ashley, Zachary, Steven, Jennifer and Dylan; and one great-grandchild, Katie Rose. Those who knew Jodie will forever be blessed by the legacy of the love she leaves behind.
