Obituary

Mary Casarez, 63, of Plainview, passed away on Feb. 19, 2015, in Lubbock, Texas. A Celebration of Catholic Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Rosary will be recited in Lemons Memorial Chapel on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at 6 p.m. Ms. Casarez was born on March 7, 1951, in Karnes City, Texas, to the late Jesus and Heminia (Franco) Tinoco. She spent her life faithfully taking care of all of her family as a homemaker. Ms. Casarez loved listening to oldies music, was a wonderful caregiver, cook, was known to everyone as a mother figure, but most of all was known for her devout love for her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Heminia Tinoco; one sister, Maria Armendariz; and one sister-in-law, Rosie Casarez. Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Lupie Perez and husband Mark; five brothers, Joe Casarez, Mike Tinoco, David Tinoco, Jessie Tinoco, Armando Tinoco; and three sisters, Sylvia Cansino, Yolanda Najera and Armira Gonzalez.
