Obituary
Mrs. W.M. Carter, 82, was buried here today. Graveside services were conducted by Rev. W.E. Peterson at 1:30 today. Interment was in the Plainview Cemetery under direction of the Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Carter died Sunday at 7 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Boliver, at Lake Dallas. Services were held Monday at Denton and the body brought here for burial Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Carter were residents of Hale County for ten years. They came here from Bonham and farmed until Mr. Carter's retirement. They then moved to Plainview where Mr. Carter died in 1945. Mrs. Carter moved to Lake Dallas the following year. Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Boliver, Mrs. Will Yates of Goree, Mrs. Katherine Sparrow of Plainview and Mrs. S.B. Dyer of Pawhuska, Okla.; two sons: S.R. Carter of Bonham and A.M. of Tyler; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Cooper of Trenton. Twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
