Obituary

Dovie Lou Carroll Dovie Lou Carroll, 93, of Hale Center passed away at 7:50 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2007, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007, in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. J.D. Templeton officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Carroll was born July 1, 1913, in Conway, Ark., to Isaac H. and Minnie Lou Harrell. She married James Burton Carroll on July 12, 1933, in Haskell. He passed away Jan. 17, 1975. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Jayne Castle of Hale Center; one sister, Violet Allen of Haskell; two grandsons, Stephen James Castle and Joseph Paul Castle; one great-grandson, James Andrew Castle; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie Harrell, Hoie Harrell, Rollo Harrell and Clyde Harrell; and two sisters, Alice Pugh and Emma Lee Boen. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
