Obituary

Funeral Mass for Cruz Carrillo, 55, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with the Rev. John Ohlig, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary services will be at 8 p.m. today in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mr. Carrillo died at 8:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born May 3, 1946, in Mexico where he grew up. He moved to Plainview in 1964 and worked for Excel for 24 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Knights of Columbus. In 1971, he married Lidia Hernandez in Plainview. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Nancy Armijo of Plainview; four sons, Cruz Carrillo Jr., of Grand Prairie, Raul Carrillo and Sammy Carrillo, both of Plainview, and Richard Carrillo of Lubbock; one sister, Maria C. Rodriguez of Fort Worth; and nine grandchildren.
