Carey, William Eugene
Funeral services for William E. Carey, 75,will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. J.R. Collins, retired minister from Hale Center, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mr. Carey died at 7:50a.m. Thursday, Nov.21, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Atoka, Okla.
He moved to Lockney from Oklahoma and to Plainview in 1956. He worked for National Alfalfa Mill for 12 years and then for Green Machinery as a welder.
He was a member of Foursquare Church.
Survivors include a son, William Edward Carey of Plainview; three brothers, Kenneth Carey of Shawnee, Okla., Sherman Carey of Plainview and Douglas Carey of Oklahoma; three sisters, Lillian Webb of Boyd, Betty Slaton of Atuska, Okla., and Sue Akin of Atoka County, Okla.; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
A brother, Ray Carey, is deceased.
