Obituary

Funeral Mass for Maria Cantu, 93, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Reynaldo Reyes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Cantu died at 10:55 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, in Covenant Hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1911, in Mexico. Survivors include two daughters, Rita Lopez of Lake Whales, Fla., and Margarita Cardenas of Plainview; 32 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Estanisio Jimenez Cantu; a daughter, Elisa Cantu; and three sons, Victorio Cantu, Manuel Cantu and Isabel Cantu, are deceased.
