Obituary

HALE CENTER -- Funeral services for Apolonio Martinez Cantu, 62, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Church in the Valley with the Rev. Eliseo Saldana officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Cantu died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, in Covenant Hospital Plainview. He was born Aug. 6, 1942, in Lemon and married Angie Ramirez on Jan. 16, 1966, in San Angelo. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Antonia Suniga, Sylvia Grimaldo, Sonia Barrientos and Florestella Cantu, all of Hale Center, and Carolina Morales of Arcadia, Fla.; two brothers, Ignacio Cantu of Tyler and Chrispin Cantu Jr. of Hale Center; four sisters, Leonor Rascon of Tulia, Lucy Cortez of Lubbock and Ellena Ramos and Molly Perez, both of Plainview; and 18 grandchildren.
