Obituary

Ida Florence Gunn was born in Bolivar, MO November 12, 1863 to Osman Dyer and Julia Ann Carter Gunn. She died March 17, 1952 in Plainview. Ida married William Taylor Cantrell on July 9, 1882 in Polk County MO. The couple moved to Texas in the late 1880's, living in various parts of the state and New Mexico until settling in the Plainview area around 1930. They had nine children, two daughters and seven sons. The girls, Golden Isabel and Stella Vivian, died in childhood. The sons were: John Osman, Gerald Burns, James Jefferson, Benjamin Benton, Arthur Ross, Charles Eugene and Rube.
