Camargo, Domingo Lopez

Funeral services for Domingo Lopez Camargo, 80, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with Joe Camargo, minister of Iglesia De Cristo, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Camargo died at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, in Covenant Hospital.

He was born Dec. 20, 1919, in Reynosa, Mexico. He move to Plainview in 1959 and worked for the Plainview Compress and for Jimmy Dean Meat Co.

On Oct 20, 1942, he married Maria Herlinda Moreno in Reynosa.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mary Vasquez, Elvira Barela and Chris Jimenez, all of Plainview; six sons, Jesse Camargo, Joe Camargo, Ignacio Camargo, Mario Camargo and Willie Camargo, all of Plainview, and Domingo Camargo Jr., of Irving; a brother Santos Camargo of Mission; two sisters, Panchita Acosta of McAllen and Fernanda Salinas of Mission; 32 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
