Calvert, Neva Lee Staples

Abernathy-- Funeral services for Neva Lee Calvert, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Don Cheshire, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home.

Ms. Calvert died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, in Lubbock.

She was born Aug. 12, 1911, in Carter County, Okla., the daughter of Frank M. and Genie Jackson Staples. She moved to Abernathy in 1936 and was a member of First Baptist Church.

A daughter, Bobbie Wayne Calvert, died at age 3 on May 20, 1932.

Memorials are suggested to a favorite charity.
