Obituary

Funeral Mass for Guadalupe Cabrera, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Cabrera died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at her residence. She was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Nordheim to Luis and Luisa Cabrera. She worked many years at Douglass Oil Co. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Armandina and Reyes Alonzo of Plainview and Emma Cano of Alamo; one brother, Joe Cabrera of Plainview; three sisters, Antonia Munoz of Plainview, Minerva Cabrera of Alamo and Francisca Escobedo of Sterling, Ill.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. A brother, Luis Cabrera; two sisters, Eudelia Baez and Jesusa Solis, and one great-grandchild, Angela Chavez, are deceased.
