Obituary

Funeral services for Nancy Elizabeth Bybee, 96, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Roger Foote, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. Bybee died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in Plainview Healthcare Center. She was born Nov. 9, 1907, in Nail, Ark. She moved to Plainview in 1950 and worked as a waitress at Blasingames Restaurant, Pioneer Cafe, Alcove Restaurant and Chicken Inn Restaurant. She had been a resident of Plainview Healthcare Center since October 1995. She married Mack Eastep on Oct. 7, 1922. She married Jack Bybee on March 22, 1934. He died Dec. 12, 1981. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joe T. Eastep of Marysville, Calif., and Wesley and Betty Bybee of Plainview; five daughters and a son-in-law, Geneva Ellerd, Jewel Gibson, Alma Raines and Virginia and Paul Ray Rogers, all of Plainview, and Claudell Durkee of Alvarado; 29 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 45 great-great-grandchildren. One daughter, Pauline Rocole, is deceased. The family will receive visitors from 7:30-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
