Butler, Robert Kennedy

Memorial services for Robert Kennedy Butler, 79, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Mark Leach and Chris Craig of Harvest Christian Fellowship Church officiating.

Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Butler died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 2, 1923, in Rochester, N.Y. He grew up in Olean, N.Y., where he graduated from high school. He graduated from the University of Buffalo and was a bombadeer with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for Dupont for 27 years, retiring in 1976.

He moved to Plainview in 1976 and worked for EMCO Manufacturing. He was founder of B&I Enterprise in Plainview and was an active volunteer with Hospice.

On Sept. 11, 1948, he married Marguerite Ebeling in Buffalo, N.Y.

Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Dorothy Butler of Richardson; and one grandchild, Bobby Butler.

A daughter, Cheryl Ann Butler, and a brother, Richard Kennedy, are deceased.
