Obituary

Funeral services for Alicia Burrell, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Burrell died at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at her residence. She was born April 4, 1933, in Eagle Pass. She married Juan Burrell in 1962 in Plainview. She was a longtime Plainview resident. Survivors include one daughter, Ruby Ann Jimenez of Plainview; two sons, Rudy Escobar of Henderson, Nev., and Toby Lee Burrell of Plainview; five brothers, Valdo DeHoyos of Yuma, Ariz., Arthur Garcia of Kentucky, Roy DeHoyos of San Antonio, Armando DeHoyos of Carrizo Springs and Roberto DeHoyos of Amarillo; three sisters, Irma Lopez of Amarillo, Delia Cervera of San Antonio and Berta Garcia of Crystal City; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband and two sisters preceded her in death.
