Obituary

Funeral services for Thomas Elmo Burnham, 77, were at 2 p.m. today in Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon officiating, assisted by the Rev. Steve Martin, pastor. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Burnham died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. He was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Stewart Mills. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Langston and Pam Cox, both of Odessa, and Thomasina Pierce of Plainview; two sisters, Effie Smith of Stamford and Lillie Lucas of New Waverly; seven grandchildren, David Langston, Kimberly Cox and Kristel Cox, all of Odessa, Melissa Langston of Austin and James Bench, Stephen Pierce and Branden Pierce, all of Plainview; and three great-granddaughters. His parents, Will and Bertha Burnham; and six sisters, Mollie Bell Ivy, Frankie Lee Lynch, Hanna Louise Jackson, Willie B. House, Minnie Lee Koonsman and Bertha Ray Yarbrough are deceased. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
