Burnett, Wayne Ray
Wayne Ray Burnett, age 65, passed away on Oct. 17, 2015. He was born in Plainview on July 23, 1950, the youngest child of Ray D. and Neva F. Burnett, both deceased. Wayne was a custom farmer in Kansas for approximately 20 years, then returned to Plainview to assist with his ailing mother. He had worked in Plainview for Dulaney's and the last 12 years had been with Walmart. Wayne is survived by one sister, Evelyn (Lonnie) Mitchell of Ferris, Texas, and two brothers, Lloyd (Donna) Burnett of Burleson, Texas, and Dick (Nancy) Burnett of Lubbock, Texas. He also has one aunt, Milla Faye Douglas of Weatherford, Texas, plus numerous cousins and nieces and nephews. His body has been donated to Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. A memorial service will be planned in the near future in honor of Wayne.
