Obituary

Services for Neva Feronie Burnett, 86, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lemons Funeral Home with the Rev. Horace Abbott of Grace United Methodist Church officiating, assisted by Dr. Max Browning. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Burnett died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Prairie House Living Center. She was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Hamilton to Jesse and Mattie Douglas. She married Ray D. Burnett on Oct. 18, 1938, in Carlton. He died Feb. 21, 1989. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Lonnie Mitchell of Ferris, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dick and Nancy Burnett of Lubbock, Lloyd and Donna Burnett of Burleson and Wayne Burnett of Plainview; two sisters, Alma Driver of Plainview and Milla Faye Douglas of Arlington; one brother, Wayland Douglas of Emory; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Grace United Methodist Church.
