Funeral services for Frank Burge, 84, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mr. Burge died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 6, 1915, in Field, NM. He served with the U.S. Cavalry from 1935-1938 and worked for Santa Fe Railroad from 1941-1951. He moved to Plainview in 1952 and was a carpenter, retiring in 1995.
He was a deacon at College Heights Baptist Church and later was a deacon at First Baptist Church.
On Jan. 8, 1938, he married Dona Wyatt in Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Janet Burge of San Antonio and Joyce Burge of Topeka, Kan.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
