Obituary

Funeral services for Faye Bufe, 82, of Hale Center will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Abernathy Church of Christ with Steve Gauntt and David Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Abernathy Cemetery by Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy. Mrs. Bufe died Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, in Lubbock. She was born Jan. 15, 1927 in Olney and married Wilford Bufe on Feb. 5, 1944, in New Deal. They moved their family to Hale County in 1951 from the New Deal area. She was a member of Hale Center Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Howard Bufe of Dallas and Harold Bufe and wife Linda of Abernathy; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A brother, Travis Jennings, and a granddaughter, Lori Bufe, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to Children's Home of Lubbock, P.O.
