Funeral services for Betty Faye Buchanan, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Lewis Holland, minister, and Dr. Max Browning, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Buchanan died at 1:37 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born Oct. 8, 1930, near Vernon. She moved to Plainview in 1944 and graduated from Plainview High School. On May 11, 1946, she married Lester Bruce Buchanan in Portales, N.M. She worked as an insurance agent with her husband and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Jeanie Buchanan and Pat and Judy Buchanan, all of Plainview, and Mark and Alaina Buchanan of Lubbock; a brother and sister-in-law, Coney and Dorma Neel of Hale Center; six grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Claire Buchanan of Plainview, Mandee and Kent Englehardt of Fredericksburg, Va., Bryan and Shadi Buchanan of Turkey, Brandon and Tonya Buchanan of Plainview, Maranda Buchanan of Lubbock and Hunter Buchanan of Lubbock; and seven great-grandchildren, Blake Buchanan and Rheagan Buchanan of Plainview, Kameron Buchanan and Kennadee Buchanan of Turkey, Blaze Engelhardt and Gunnar Engelhardt of Fredericksburg, Va., and Brosnon Buchanan of Plainview. Her mother and father, Payne W. and Grayce Neel, and a daughter, Thresa Jan Buchanan, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Churc
