Obituary
Thelma Louise Brown, resident of Albuquerque for the last 38 years, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012. Thelma was born in Plainview, Texas, on Dec. 8, 1924, to Myron and Mary Yancey. She lived all over the world raising her family - from England to Taiwan. Thelma is survived by her children, Charles Brown and his wife, Molly, Jean Cerami and Mary Guillen; her grandchildren, Vicente and Charley Guillen; great-grandchild, Vicente Guillen; and stepgrandchildren, Natalie Degroot and her husband, Adam, and Jeremy Sherrod. She also IS survived by her nieces, Connie Hackney and Christy Nelson, and their children. She was preceded in death by her son, David Brown; husband, James Brown; and sister, Melba Jean Cranfill Hearn. She was a strong and brave woman who accepted and loved everyone on their own terms. Her quick wit was only exceeded by her capacity to love. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Services were held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Netherwood Park Church of Christ, 5101 Indian School NE, under the direction of French Funeral-Cremations of Albuquerque.
