Brown, J.B. (Chigger)

Funeral services for J.B. ?Chigger? Brown, 81, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Danny Copeland, pastor, of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, and Mike Perry, associate pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown died at 6:55 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 1998, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 18, 1916, in Garvin County, Okla., where he grew up and attended schools. He moved to the Providence Community in 1941 and to Plainview in 1953. He was a farmer and a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

On Nov. 24, 1933, he married Cora Wigley in Wallsville, Okla.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, RosaLee Anderson of Plainview; two sons, Lonnie Brown and Buddy Brown and his wife, Lura, all of Plainview; two sisters, Dorlis Jenson of Lindsay, Okla., and Zelma Perry of Plainview; one brother, Lawrence Brown of Plainview; five grandchildren, Belinda Frye of Lubbock, Mark Brown of Canyon, Debbie McNeill of Hearst, Brandi Brown of Sweetwater, Lonnie Brown Jr., of Clovis, N.M.; and six great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Family Hospice of the Plains.
