Obituary

Funeral services for Naomi Brown, 72, of Hale Center will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Hale Center with Dr. H. Gene Meacham officiating and Dr. Carrol Green assisting. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center. Ms. Brown died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. She was born Nov. 13, 1938, in Lubbock to Ernest and Dora Pettit Breedlove. She married Clifford Brown on June 14, 1957, in Lubbock. He died July 8, 1996. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hale Center and was instrumental in starting Mission Hale Center. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Gale Brown of San Angelo; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Pauline and Billy George Casey and Ramona Moore, all of Lubbock; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Lynn Brown, also preceded her in death. The family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
