Briscoe, William Earl (Bill), Mrs. (Alene Elizabeth Spray)

Graveside services for Alene Elizabeth Briscoe, 81, of Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Harold Abney, chaplain of Hospice Hands of West Texas, officiating.

Burial is under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Briscoe died Thursday, July 19, 2001, in her home.

She was born May 20, 1920 in Whiteflat and married Bill Briscoe Dec. 7, 1935 in Dickens. He died Dec. 27, 1988.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and a past member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was also co-owner of the Northside Grocery Store.

Survivors include a daughter, Earlene Barr of Lubbock; a son, Douglas Briscoe of Twin Falls, Idaho; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
