Obituary

Memorial services for Julia Brionez, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Nueva Mission y Evangelica, 910 Canyon, with the Daniel Alcala, pastor, officiating. Cremation arrangements were with Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Brionez died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Care Inn. She was born July 4, 1928, and was raised by her grandmother, the late Sara Gonzalez, and her uncle, Felix Gonzalez. She lived in Tulia then moved to Plainview in the late 1970s. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Enrique Brionez of Plainview; one daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Alfredo Picaso of Plainview; four grandchildren, Virginia Chavez, Monica, Alfredo Jr., and Brenda Picaso; and four great-grandchildren.
