Obituary

A chapel service for Mary Anita Gomez, 49, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Gomez died March 10, 2010. She was born March 28, 1960 in Wyoming to Francisco Balli and Rosa Martinez. She is survived by her husband, Victor Briones; her mother, Rosa Martinez of California; four sons, John Gomez Jr., Christopher Gomez, Jacob Trusty and Elias Briones, all of Plainview; four daughters, Terry Pena of Colorado City, Connie Gomez of San Angelo, Erica Gomez of Plainview and Jennifer Nuncio of Plainview; nine brothers, Joe Balli, Luis Balli, Freddy Picaso, Ernest Picaso and Benito Balli, all of Plainview, Gary Martinez of Odessa and Steve Balli, Fernando Picaso, and Alex Picaso, all of California; and seven sisters, Debbie Martinez of Plainview, Beatrice Garcia of Lubbock, Paula Espiliquata of San Antonio and Janie Holt, Becky Picaso, Sylvia Gomez and Elda Gonzales, all of California. She is preceded in death by her son, Mikey Gomez; her father, Francisco Balli; and her sister, Virginia Picaso.
