Obituary

HALE CENTER - Funeral services for Arrie Brinson, 92, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Hale Center Church of Christ with Silas Short, minister, and Dean Brookshire, associate minister of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ in Plainview, officiating. Burial will be in Center Plains Cemetery by Freeman Funeral Home. Mr. Brinson died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday in Brownwood Regional Hospital. He was born in Lindale and was a longtime resident of the Hale Center Cotton Center area where he farmed. He was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the American Legion, Lemond Masonic Lodge and Woodmen of the World and was a member of the Hale Center Church of Christ. He moved from Hale Center to Bangs in 1980. He married Blanche Boatman in 1945. She died in 1968 [note: 1963 on death certificate]. Surviving are a sister, Beryl Drury of Bangs; a brother, Frank of Bangs; a stepson, Howard Boatman of Plainview; and a stepdaughter, Helen Boatman of Hale Center. Pallbearers will be Herman Cozart, C.P. Smith, C.H. Keeton, Bobby Wardlaw, J.G. Cannon and Floyd Ashley. -- Plainview Daily Herald
