Obituary

Graveside services for Arlene J. Briggs, 94, of Plainview, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview with Dr. Max Browning officiating. Arrangements are by Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Texas. Ms. Autry died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, in Jacksonville. She was born Feb. 13, 1910, at Clarendon. She was a hairdresser and a Methodist. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Harold Raymond "Hal" Jr. and Zo Reta Briggs of Canton; a brother, Worth Jones of Amarillo; a sister, Hazel Fields of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, including Zo Ann Briggs of Canton; and nine great-grandchildren. Her parents, Claude B. and Ruby Jones, and a sister, Claudene Attwood, are deceased.
