Brewster, Leonard L., Mrs. (Velma E. Snider)
Graveside services for Velma Snider Brewster, 100, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brewster died Thursday, June 1, 2000, in Prairie House Living Center.
She was born May 5, 1900 in Fremont, Mo. She was a teacher in the Happy Union School for more than 30 years and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.
She married Leonard Brewster in 1941 in Plainview. He died in 1977.
Surviving are four nephews, Orville V. Snider of Los Angeles, Calif., Kenneth N. Snider of Palas Verdes, Calif., David V. Porterfield of Duncanville and Robert Porterfield of Midland, and a cousin, Ray Snider of Denver, Colo.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel, 1200 S. I-27.
The family suggests memorials to College Heights Baptist Church, 802 Quincy, Plainview, TX 79072.
