Obituary

Hub Bramblett Herbert Travis "Hub" Bramblett, 94, of Plainview passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Covenant Hospital Plainview. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Kyle Brock officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. He was born to Owen and Ida Bramblett on June 6, 1913, in Duffow, Texas. He spent most of his childhood in Duffow and attended schools there. He also lived in Hico. He married Rubilee Malone in 1939. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He received his training at the glider school in Lubbock. After his military service, they returned to Lubbock and farmed for many years. They moved to Plainview in 1962 where he farmed until retirement in 1984. Rubilee passed away in 1988. He married Einell Montague in 1989 and they made their home in Plainview. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Einell Montague Bramblett of Plainview; two stepsons, Ted Hancock of Alamo, Texas, and Jene Montague of Fort Myers, Fla.; and his niece, Pat White and husband Ron of Plainview, Texas. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. The family suggests memorials to Grace United Methodist Church.
