Obituary

Graveside services for Martha Agnes Braly, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Plainview Memorial Park with Lyndal Waldrip of Moore Church in Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Martha Agnes Braly died at 5:46 p.m. July 4, 2004. Agnes was born in Silverton on Aug. 5, 1914. She grew up in Silverton and graduated from Silverton High School. She and her parents and sisters moved to Plainview in 1932. She worked at Southwestern Public Service for 47 1/2 years, beginning in the billing department and retiring as promotion assistant in 1979. She was a past president of the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Women's Division of the Plainview Chamber of Commerce. She is survived by a niece, Frances, and her husband, Jim Hutson of Amarillo; a nephew, Patric Wilson Neil Jr., and wife, Marie, of Plainview; and two great-nieces, Ruth H. Pitzer and husband Mike of New York City and Emily F. Hutson of Austin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hilton Reece Braly and Frances Cozby Braly; two sisters, Della Braly in 1983 and Ruth Neil in 2001; and a brother-in-law, Patric Wilson Neil Sr., in 1996.
