Funeral Mass for George Natale Braga, 82, was held at 10 a.m. today at St. Alice Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. A wake was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Braga died Monday, July 11, 2005, in Arbor House Assisted Living Center in Mustang, Okla. He was born Oct. 11, 1922, in Jersey City, N.J., to Natale and Mary Esther Mercandino Braga. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps as a B-17 bombardier with the 416th Bomb Squad, 99th Bomb Group. Mr. Braga married Mary Reams of Plainview on Sept. 6, 1944. She is deceased. He worked as an engineer at Southwestern Public Service Co., in Plainview from 1947 until he retired in 1986. Survivors include his four children and their spouses, Kittrick and Darlene Braga of Cashion, Okla., Sharon and David Dodson of Edmond, Okla., Dana and Mark Mishoe of Mustang and Frances and Darrell Tidmore of Austin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
